Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Tri-Lakes Electric Utility

SINGLE SOURCE SPECIAL NOTICE This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Omaha District, intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract to Xcel Energy, P.O. Box 660553, Dallas, Texas. The purpose of this acquisition is for a utilities contract to provide Electric Service to Government facilities at the Tri-Lakes Project including, Chatfield project office, Chatfield dam, Bear Creek dam, and Cherry Creek dam. The contractor shall provide electric service to the Government facilities in a manner and form consistent with (1) all applicable laws, regulations, permits, and electric code, and (2) the facilities� service requirements. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source (1) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold.
