Notice of Intent for Stamford Hurricane Barrier � Control Systems Replacement � Rockwell Automation Under the authority of RFO 6.103-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to require, on a sole source basis, the purchase and installation of the control system hardware and proprietary programming software to Rockwell Automation for the upcoming Stamford Hurricane Barrier Control System Replacement project. The Stamford Hurricane Barrier is a critical life-safety public infrastructure asset providing immediate flood and storm protection to the region. Specifying Rockwell Automation is essential to the Government's requirement for the following reasons: USACE New England District (NAE) possesses exclusive, in-house engineering expertise in Rockwell Automation platforms.
