COTS Trailer/Modification Propulsion System Rocket Engine Transport Trailer (PTT2)

This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this notice. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) at Hill Air Force Base is conducting market research to identify commercial trailer manufacturers with the capability to produce a modified COTS semi-trailer for the transport of sensitive government cargo. The Government is evaluating a potential acquisition strategy to adapt a proven, commercially available refrigerated/insulated freight trailer design as a low-cost alternative to a full-scale Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD) program. The attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) and "RFI RESPONDENT INSTRUCTIONS COTS" documents describe the key performance requirements and the specific questions the Government is seeking industry feedback on.
