**** U.S. Forest Service intends to award a single source contract to Knife River, Inc. 14005 McKenzie Highway, Sisters OR 97759 in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for the purchase of 8,250 Tons of Commercial Grade (Reject) Aggregate. The primary reason for awarding this procurement to the selected vendor is the vendor�s demonstrated geographic coverage and capacity to supply aggregate materials from active pit locations operating within or adjacent to Clackamas, Linn, Benton, and Deschutes Counties in Central Oregon.
