The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to Miltenyi Biotec for a gentleMACS� Octo Dissociator with Heaters. The Government intends to solicit from a single source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Miltenyi Biotec is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required gentleMACS� Octo Dissociator with Heaters because Miltenyi Biotec is the manufacturer and exclusive source for the gentleMACS� instrument platform and its proprietary components and accessories. The required system incorporates proprietary technology and is designed for use with Miltenyi Biotec's proprietary consumables and accessories, including gentleMACS� C Tubes, M Tubes, Perfusers, Perfusers 2, and the gentleMACS� Octo Cooler.
