USCG Sector Delaware Bay Shower Replacement
9/15/2026: Question 1. - The existing building only has (1) valve to turn off the water in the mechanical room. Unfortunately, this will shut down the entire building. Would the USCG consider adding isolation valves to the base bid for the bathroom areas to limit the amount of time the building would be without water? Answer - Yes, the government would like to have isolation valves added. Question 2. - If it is considered, how many valves would be added? For all bidders to bid the same way. Answer - At least 1 per head, that would be 7 total Question 3. - As per 2.2.3 of the SOW: Install new �Proflo� or equivalent fiberglass shower pans. Shower wall assemblies shall be installed using cementitious backer board and a liquid-applied waterproofing membrane installed. Will the shower walls be tiling walls from the shower pan up, or install a new wall surround to match the new shower pan? Answer - Install new wall surround to match the new shower pans.
